This PADI course equips you to scuba dive independently with a certified buddy, reaching depths of up to 18 metres.
Your journey begins with an introduction to diving principles and the marine environment, followed by practical training in scuba skills and equipment use in a controlled environment at our indoor heated pool facility. Once you’ve built confidence and mastered the essentials, the adventure continues in the ocean. With Cape Town’s world-renowned dive sites, an unforgettable underwater experience awaits.
By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world.
Course Overview:
- Duration: 3 days’ practical training, of which 2 days are weather-dependent
- Minimum age requirement: 10 years old
- Complete online theory (before practical)
- Complete swimming pool skills (1 day)
- Complete 4 Open Water Dives over 2 days (shore dive)
